Idleing Problem

Hi, All... I bought a 1984 c4 crossfire... I notice on a cold start up the RPM stays at 1500 RPM until the thermostat opens at 196 then it would slow go down to 8 to 10RPM.. and the oil pressure stay at 62 psi just wanting to know is this normal for a crossfire ...Thanks for your time

Probably. My car begins at 1200 RPM when cold and then slowly goes down to 500 - 600 RPM when hot. Your tach might not be accurate.

I suspect it's normal. Similar on my 86 TPI
