Red death ?
Hello out there can anybody tell me what this is I just replaced my ignition coil and saw this under it
My freind says it's RED DEATH but what is that
I just took out the original cause I had a pinhole leak in one of the coolant lines that is right beside the distributor cap and the 86 chevy corvette shop manual says it's good to replace the ignition coil after a coolant leak
I THINK it is just from moisture and is fine the original coil was covered in orange dust too so new coil no problem right
But I would like some input thanks

Thank you I thought it was nothing major and yes it was time to replace and something that I forgot to put in the original post was that the red wire going into the cap was lose so with that being said everything you said adds up thanks
