Seems to me if a shop can balance your drive shaft they can do your half shaft also.
But thats probably not whats causing your vibration.
Try the tire balance, then on to tie rod ends wheel alignment ect.

They can balance half shafts. Took all shafts to the shop to have u-joints pressed in and asked for a driveline balance and they mistakenly did them all :D I didn't have any vibration to blame on the shafts in the first place. Unless a half shaft was really screwed, not sure if they turn fast enough to cause much vibration.

Yes, they can cause vibrations.

I had a bad vibration in the rear driver side at over 60mph. Last week I changed the wheel bearing and U-joints and the vibration went away.

I believe the shaking I had was caused by one of my U-joints. It moved one way like it should but was very stiff the other way.

You have steering wheel shake? That points to tires or wheels but you say they are new? Check for damage, maybe a wheel is broken (or some balance weights missing) or maybe there is damage to one of your tires - maybe internal? Just go to a tire shop and get them removed and examined? Cheap compared to changing parts by guessing.

Also make sure you have greased your ball joints, U-joints and all other parts in the suspension with grease nipples.

Just a couple of weeks ago somebody reported here in the tech forum that he solved his mystery shake by replacing his gearbox tail peace and seal ($75 I think), make a search.

good luck
