Delco CD error????
:confused: My factory Delco CD player reads error and ejects the disc, :crazy: Has anybody had this problem and do I have to take it in for service or is there something I can do? I must have my CD's :cry I MUST!!!!

I have often received that same error, but mainly with recorded discs I did myself. Changed to a more expensive brand (Gold media) and the problem significantly decreased. If you are using the factory discs, it sounds like there is some crud or a minor malfunction in the Delco CD. Don't take it to a dealer. Do a search on the web for Delco/Bose repairs. If my memory serves me correctly, there are a couple of shops in the South that have a flat rate on repair.

A common problem with the Bose units. Many folks are replacing the factory units with better aftermarket head units. I had the same problem and installed a Clarion double din (removed all the Bose stuff too) and now have a better sounding system. :D

When mine did it I sent it off and had it fixed. Cost $275. http://www.unitedradio.com If I were to do it again, I would replace the whole system. Once I had my head unit repaired, the speakers started going out.
My '94 system works perfectly at the moment, but when it does start to act up, I will put in an aftermarket system.
