Default Heim Joint

Howdy all,
I just got a set of Z51 swaybars for my base 85 (thanks Bob). I was thinking about replacing the end links with heim joints instead of bushings. It looks like a 3/8ths bolt and I can get the 4 males and females for about 25 bucks good idea? I pretty much only use the car for autox.
Thanks
Joe

They are NOT 3/8 - the hardware is M10X1.5 on the fronts

I don't believe I'd go through the aggravation (aggravation is likely both time and money wasted). There's many considerations that could be argued if this were a "purpose built" project but I doubt this $25 purchase would contribute.

I don't autox but I did get a metric M&F rod ends to set my rear bar neutral. I ended up just removing the bar altogether after I played with it some, but I did learn once you set it neutral you can't jack the car up from the side or it'll change.

The rodends may not give provide much more in the way of performance, but they do make it much easier to get that tower on and off and undo things.
they are mainly used to provide more clearance, especially when going to coil overs.
you will have to fab up a bracket for the suspension arm also.
I left the poly bushes in the swaybar end with mine, mainly because it still does street time.
For the cost and time tho they are much prettier than those towers !
