Default LT1 intake manifold Porting

Has anyone ported there stock LT1 intake manifold for the stock engine or used the Edlebock manifold on a stock engine? Did it have any performance gains? I have a stock manifold that has been poloshied that I was going to use but never did. I was going to continue to use stock exhaust etc.

are you talking about a TRUE LT1?

you really should look into TUNING. if your asking about performance
a tune alone will net VERY good results!!! specifically the 94 - 96 LT1

I was going to have my 94 tuned to see what kinda HP I could squeeze out of a stock engine. The tuner said I really should wait till I do some performance mods first before I spend money on a tune.

Not worth the effort without supporting modifications. The stock intake is supposedly good for 500hp. Save your time and money.

You better get long tube headers and a exhaust system if you do these things

lt1 intake is not one of the first items people mess with to make more power.

its rather one of the 'last' items people tweak to get the most out of their combo.

i had elliot port works port mine. my car is supercharged with 520 rwhp

theres some more power to be made with custom single plane intakes and lastly, expensive sheet metal intakes.

those are more for max effort blown builds
