Can the 6 speed bolt-in to a C4 using the C-Beam and bell housing?

Likely the most important issue that needs addressed for C4 "enthusiasts". I believe I know the response but Steve, it was certainly the more important 1st "quiz" for the Vendor.

I thought of this yesterday but I've a couple ZF's so I didn't ask!

Hi Steve,

We do not offer a T-56 Magnum kit for the C4 Corvette. The T-56 Magnum will not work with the factory bellhousing on the older GM small block engines. TKO transmissions are a very snug fit in the kits that we offer for C4's and because the T-56 Magnum is notably larger than the TKO, extensive tunnel, floor and firewall modifications would need to be made in order to make it fit. That being said, and although we have not engineered a T-56 kit for the Corvette, our TKO kits require modification of the torque arm channel, due to the longer and larger tailshaft of the TKO transmission. Because the tailshaft of the T-56 Magnum is even longer than that of the TKO, modifications would definitely have to be made.
