Engine Making Chirping Noise
Hello!
My '89 keeps making this kinda loud Chirping noise. I'm having a hard time figuring out what it is. I thought it was the belt, so I did that little bar of soap trick and the sound was still there.
So I put my ear around the car and the belts sound normal but I found the area where the sound is coming from. It's by the engine block, where it says "Tuned Port Injection"(or where the engine air intake hose first starts). Anybody take any guesses on what it is?

you could take the belt off to test.

Try running it without the belt
If it still makes noise see if the balancer is hitting the timing cover
If it isnt pull the valvecovers off you may have your answer there.
