Default C5R style headlight conversion for C4's

I have seen this in advertisements but it is always shown on a C5. Has anyone seen this headlight conversion on a C4

this is the only place I know that has them for C4's...I like them better on the C5's, just doesn't look as good on the C4...in my opinion

I think they look cool and would add a unique touch, but to me the headlights on the C4 are a part of the car that is a signature touch especially how they rotate into position.

Or how mine likes to wink at me. I am really beginning to hate fixing those POS's. If only it wasn't so much $$$ to replace them.

Does anyone have a pic of them on a white car?

i thought about those as well, but the price  i need to do the engine mods first. but they do look sweet. but i haven't seen anyone with them only the one from breathless. not sure if it will look good on a white car though. the plastic that holds the lights in place will stand out too much and they do not have tinted lens for the kit. good luck

I have only seen one C5 with them installed. Looks  on that model. Haven't seen any C4s with them. I will withhold my opinion until I see a set on a C4.

I gotta agree. I am not hot or cold about the looks over the stock lights but fixing the headlights, gears, then motor, then tub, I'm getting bent outa shape. If they weren't so expensive I would get them. I could see $500 maybe but that is it. If Breathless ever gets real on their prices, I'll get a set.

(and I'm not trying to start a flame war either)

Let's see, Breathless' C4 headlight kit is about 1/4 the book value of my car. Am I going to buy it?

GET REAL GUYS!!!!

Steel Blue 91,

Thanks, That means a lot these days!

To all you other guys,

I am working on building and marketing a conversion for about half that price. The design is being approved right now by the auto engineers and there are a few factories that will be submitting bids for the production of it within the next few weeks. So if all goes well, we can see it on the market before Thanksgiving Day.

Thanks Gcrouse, I am glad to be back home. This is such a wonderful place.

As for the lights, you can get rectangular or round. However, the first design that we submitted is for the round headlights like the high tech imports, european and asian cars. They are smaller and easier to fit in without sticking too high above the hood level. They will have a lexan clear cover. These are readily available for a very inexpensive price from the asian factory. They will also be direct bolt ins to replace the stock lights and motors. But the small rectangular lights are also available at a slightly higher price. Like I said before, it is in the preliminary stages of planning. So I will not know anything for sure until we go in to production. The more that we make, the cheaper it will be. It will take a sizeable investment. But hopefully, we should break even in the first year and hopefully turn a profit by the second year of sales.

 After seeing Breathless' prices, I'd been thinking of trying to make these myself. I'd like to save unnessary weight and eliminate the complexity; plus I think the car looks dopey when the lights are up. Seemed like a couple small round projecter bulbs could sit just below hood level at the back and allow a nice flat Lexan cover. Got any sketches or prototype pics yet?

You might be interested in this Speedglass stuff for the project; much more scratch resistant than standard lexan: http://www.martelbros.com/cgi-bin/st...ys/percys.html
