I have a 1991 Corvette convertible. Yesterday, I was driving for almost two hours. I brought it to get gas, when I put the car in park, the engine just shutdown out of no where. I tried restarting it but got absolutely nothing. I had to call triple A to jump it. It restarted on the first jump. I've had my eye on all the gages and everything looked good. There was no indication of it shutting down. The battery is 1 year old. This is not the first time this has happened to me. Also, the check engine light and service soon appeared on the screen when the car died. When I brought it home, it started up with no problem and looks to run fine. Does anyone know what the problem can be? Thanks.
OP - don't know how you did the code pull and I don't know why someone would just say go to you tube without reference UNLESS maybe just doesn't know
This C4 diagnostic check is pretty complete and should be easy enough to follow. I've no idea how you related H25 to the CCM but it certainly is a potential CCM fault BUT for an L98/'91 also a ECM fault. Try a read of these diagnostics and try again maybe:
before attempting the read of codes this second time remove the negative cable from the battery and then do the checks maybe after a drive around the neighborhood.
I'd say you need to be concerned maybe with start enable and it's related functions. Did you have any CEL when it shut down?
Do you have a FSM?
