Default Service ABS Light on - Help!

So the service ABS light came on the other day on my 91 coupe. I brought it to my local mechanic and he said that it's showing a code 63, which is "Valve Solenoid Relay Circuit Fault". He thinks it's the 2 relays that sit on top of the ABS controller in the well behind the drivers side seat that's bad, but isn't 100% sure. Also, he called the local Chevy dealer who said those relays are discontinued.

Soooo - does anyone have any experience with this type issue; and also, any thoughts on where I can purchase these relays from, if in fact that's the issue?

Thanks in advance for your help!

My 1996 FSM, DTC63 is "BPMV Power Supply Malfunction"
Im working on a DTC 65 and having some problems, as my electrical skills are lacking. Worst case senario you'll have to replace your EBTCM and bleed the system with a Tech 1. Search the net and you'll get a million ways to go. Good Luck
Good source of old parts is shawn@corvettenutz.com

OP - How about a FIX that was accomplished a few years ago. Wells does have a service part for the Solenoid Relay but it's been said they weren't the "best of - originally" anyway. I don't know how accurate that statement is but if you're up to the challenge try this:

http://www.zr1.net/forum/showpost.ph...0&postcount=17

A wells 20623 is their conversion for the GM #14105967 as well as a couple others. It seems Wells maybe forgot the leading 0 on the Bosch assembly.

Here's others. The poster on the other forum mentioned blowing a $50 purchase so he chose this alternative.

Wells# 20623

Equivalent Part Numbers:
332205003
14105967
56-2238
1R1966

Welcome to the world of C4. Chinese knockoffs and wrecking yards are the only source of small parts these days.
