Geez no comments? I thought you guys new something about this stuff or have installed them.
I've used fairly inexpensive Harlan Sharp roller tip rockers in the past with good luck. On the other hand, I've had problems with Comp Cam roller tip rockers and can't recommend them.
Your loosing one advantage by not using a full roller rocker. The half ball under the nut holding the rocker in position on the studs have a large surface that mates with the rocker. Even with oil, this large surface generates a lot of heat. A standard roller will reduce oil temperatures by about 10 degrees just with this simple exchange. You can buy a good full roller rocker if you look around.
You will have to cut off the drip tabs. You should have no issues using 1.5. A 1.6 rocker might require a taller gasket.

Ya know you've got a Crossfire motor that only a few have spent the money to mod. The rest are fighting to keep them running right.
So here's my 0.02, you're wasting your money. If your looking for cheap power, there's little to do without reprogramming the ECM. And that will cost you a bunch. A nice Magnaflo cat and muffs will help some. Roller tips alone will net you nothing.

I only got to grade 3. Then medical problems kept me in the hospital for 10 years. I can't spell.

I have to agree with the coach, roller tips will do very little if anything...At least full rollers give you less friction and less heat.....I would spend my money elsewhere...WW
Your stamped rocker arms are supposed to be a 1.5 ratio. But because they are stamped the ratio is often less than that. The 1985 responded to a split ratio of 1.5 on the intake and 1.6 on the exhaust. This combination idled a little better than 1.6's all the way around. You MIGHT pick up 5-7 HP which you really would not notice, especially with stock iron heads.
roller tip rockers are a waste of time, most of the friction is at the fulcrum of the rocker, not the tip. Going full roller is maybe worth it. The split set of 1.5 1.6 I have done the other way around on an LT1 (1.6 intake, 1.5 exhaust). the rocker is a multiplier on the cam number so a bigger rocker number behaves like a mild cam.
1.6 roller tips will give you .030 tho more cam lift,
if you rev your engine a bit tho they can allow the pushrods to pop out the sides !
(I had this happen several times on my old setup till I went to full roller rockers)
