I notice that sometimes when I push down on my accelerator pedal, it will not depress. I have notied it periodically when I turn sharp & sometimes when I start off and try depress it ( floor it). I thought, motor mount, but they appear to be alright doing the standard test. I'm not familiar with the accelerator "box", for lack of a better word, under the hood. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks
what year is your car? If it is a 92 or up then it will have traction control, otherwise known as a black box under the hood with the letters "ASR" on it. If your traction control is on and you floor it out of a turn i am assuming it wouldnt open up all the way, becuase flooring it when still in the turn could easily be disasterous.
It appears that the traction control is operating (which adjusts breaks, throttle, etc.) to limit wheel spin. There is a traction control switch that will turn traction control off located under the running light switch. It lights up in the visual display above the console when it is off. Also, when traction contral is operation(adjusting the gas pedal) the display console indicates that it is operating. :flag :chevy
