Default Prothane Poly End Link Bushing Fit

I purchased a Prothane poly sway bar bushing kit (part # 7-1152) for my 94. The control arm end link bushing (as prothane calls it) connects the sway bar link to the lower control arm. But the bushing they gave me does not make any sense unless I remove a flange from the lower control arm. Has anyone experienced this?

I replaced the front end bushings on my 89 this past winter with a prothane poly bushing kit. Had to remove the metal sleeve in the lower control arm to mount the new sway bar mounting bushings.

Thanks, that explains it. Were the sleeves difficult to remove?

Sleeve was thin metal just split and pry away from the control arm after the old bushing and sleeve are out...I used a hammer and a flat blade screw driver....Just be careful not to gouge the control arm aluminum.

I bought this Prothane kit for my 1995 Corvette REAR sway bar end links:

http://www.amazon.com/Prothane-7-401-BL-Black-Rear-Sway/dp/B003AW04WO http://www.amazon.com/Prothane-7-401-BL-Black-Rear-Sway/dp/B003AW04WO

It was necessary to remove the small metal inserts from the ends of the sway bar and the links, before these bushings would fit. Not sure if this helps you but I wanted to chime in, just in case.
