I have a Stewart Stage I pump. It actually is coming off tonight. It is about 2 years old, and has developed a leak. As of now I cannot tell if it is from the weep hole (I think not), or from the back (I think so).
I am replacing it with an Edlebrock Victor pump, due to arrive tomorrow.
only one suggestion!!!! patience grasshoppa!!!!!
that was one of the most frustrating things i have done on the car so far! so much stuff had to come off it wasn't even funny!!!! there will be a hidden bolt under the AC compressor that is i think the bottom bolt on the passenger side of the pump! other than that.....good luck!
Hope this is not to late. I just changed mine last week so I still have some fresh ideas for you.
1. Go to the "tech tips" section for help, print off the stuff you want for refference.
2. Pull off the passenger side wheel, this gets you in closer to where you are working.
3. Follow what is in tech tips.
4. Consider changing your timing chain - by the time you have your water pump off it's only a little more work to do the timing chain. That could save you having to do the whole job over again.
The hardest part to the whole jobs is ... it's not that hard. Don't let anyone tell you it's hard, just don't be in a hurry. I hope this helps. Let us know how you do. Good Luck.
