Has anyone used them? I ordered some gears for my car from Ringpinion.com...and the gears they sent me were in Yukon boxes. The sales rep told me they were actually made by US gear. I took them to an installer today and he told me to return them beacuse they were bad gears and that he personally went through 3 sets on his car. 2 others here in town dont really like to use those gears either because they strip...so they say. But like I said they were saying this about Yukon gears...and mine are actually US packaged in the Yukon box. Could use some input.
Never heard of those gears, I just put some 4.10 gears in and love them. I went with DANA gears, DANA out DANA in with NO gear wine at all. And boy are they fun :)
I have never heard of Yukon gears. But, I have been told that Strange makes US Gears, and Strange is suppose to be a reputable company.
If you can't get anymore feedback on the Yukon gears and you are still scared of their quality, you should return them. It would suck everytime you gave it the gas wondering if your rearend was going to hold up.
I don't even know if Dana makes the gear ratio for a Corvette that you are looking for, but if they do I would go with them.
Dana doesnt make a gear ratio 3.54. I am going to talk to some more installers. I think that the one that I talked to had bad luck cuz he is a street racer. I think he doesnt even use the break in period...so I can understand why the gears stripped if he was putting down 400hp to the rear wheels like he said he was.
