I was wandering if any body has this type head on there L98? Do you like/dislike ?? Do you have flow numbers , what have you done as in porting etc.... JAY
I've got a set of the 200's on my 383 now. I had to drill and tap 2 holes on the passenger head. One for the fans switch, another on the front for one of the accessory holes. I have 2.10 intake valves and 1.6 exhaust valves. Canfield posts flow numbers for these with bowl clean up only.
I've been told by someone who has flowed a set of the heads that those numbers are accurate. He also says that he likes the AFR's better. The 74 cc chamber AFR's flow better than the 68's. I'd like to see flow numbers on the AFR's with the decks milled to get them to 58 cc's. I wonder if there's a pattern that follows chamber size ?
I'm pretty sure that Jeg's heads are made by Canfield.
EDIT : The one pass that I've been able to make with it has been a 12.78 @ 118.2.
