Default Recommendations on 1.6 RR?

My motor is a stock 87 l98 with 100,000mi on it. I figured because im putting on a tpis big mouth with AZ Speed and marine runners this week, the 1.6 rockers would be a good addition to my setup. what rockers would you recommend? and am I fine with the stock springs, if not what springs should I get? would going to 1.6 RR be a noticeable improvement durability and power wise?

Save your money! Skip the rockers. Purchase a true power add-on. Such-as. exhaust, Gears. Auto? Stall converter. Thank us now OR later.

My c4 is actually an 85 with an 87 motor, I think 85's had a 2,000 stall. I was going to go with a 2,400 but wasn't sure on what to get or if I needed to get it tuned? what kind of et difference would a longer stall make in the quarter? edit-for exhaust I have duals, H-pipe and muffler eliminators, I took the air pollution off the stock manifolds and welded it up along with some slight porting.

LT headers will provide max flow. A 2400 stall is a good starting point. You need to lock in your mods. Or plan around the TQ'r. Gears will help out. Especially for auto's in the 2 series. There are many recommendations for TQ'r a smaller diameter will allow less slippage and launch harder. Going to small will reduce your trap speed.
