Get the hood open
Hi, Guys need to know how to open my hood on a 1984 vette.... I played with cable adjustment on the driver side.. didn't really need to but got myself in a jam.. the passenger side release's driver side don't now.. need help.. thanks for your time

Try driveing it up on a curb or a speed bump differant ways to flex it. Then put emergency release cables on it. Or you can get some 3/8 round stock and make a release tool look on youtube to see how to use.

Question did you just loosen the cable a few trying to get a little more bite on the latch,and it's now not clearing the pin

Had to replace some wiring, and of course the starter with a reman unit.
Cars running better than before.
Will probably finish this project within the next 2 weeks then post pics.

Also try jacking up the car on the drivers side and then pull on the hood.
If it still won't open, lower the drivers side, and jack up the passenger side and yank on the drivers side again.
If this fails try the special tool first, i made my own, found it useless after an hour trying to get it open and opted obviously for the easier route. The reason being that the hood cable did release, but the pin was jammed.
If you do get it open, check your hood to make sure it's not loose, there are bolts that hold it at the bottom front, if they get loose the hood will shift enough to jam the pin against the receiver in the mount.
