I was changing the spark plugs on my 1984 'vette and I broke the connector off the top of a sensor that is mounted on the head between the spark plugs of Cylinder #6 and #8.
What did I break so I can order a new one?
Is it the cooling fan temperature switch?
Thanks folks.. I can't find a good picture ot determine what it is.
An original "fan switch" for an '84 uses a "pinch" connector. If yours is something other than a "pinch" then it's likely been changed. You broke the switch or the connector?
If you broke an OE/GM switch if you take the oldest GM # 3040674 to a local auto parts store you should be able to source locally OR they'll order and there would be no shipping charges generally. If you broke the connector I'd think it important to first ID the switch "in the hole". The switch if the OE style was pretty tough, the connectors aren't.
