If your tranny is in,i would think you could just measure it. I do not
have a dim. for you though, sorry. Have someone help you,and just measure
it to the nearest 1/32". When i put mine back in ,thereis at least that much
play. My .02. Wait until a few others speak up and get their opinions too.
Don't want to give you BAD advice. I think you would be fine, but just in case.

If you are not secure about just measuring it, make a cardboard templet.

This is where I would be scared. You can get the support beam in, but no where near lined up. It usually takes me a while to get the holes lined up when putting mine back in. I wouldn't want to take a measurement like this, drill, install, and then find out that the rear & tranny are at some wierd angle to each other.

How far is it off from lining up? As scorp508 says, you may have to jack the tranny up or down a bit to line up the holes.

Well if he has an auto driveline support beam, it won't line up no matter what. I'm just nervous that it would be really easy to drill the holes in the improper place.

Or you could make your own 2 piece beam like I did. Check it out on my web site under the page "conversion to th400 tranny". It is very easy to put in/take out now as a 2 piece unit. And it has held up just fine under some very hard use so far. Just another idea for you. It did take a bit of time to fabricate mine but I am by no means smart or skilled and I got it to work. Take a look.

Thank you for all the replys  I had been thinking that = If I measure the difference between the dana 36 to the dana 44 there is suppose to be a difference becouse the 44 is bigger so if I take that measurment and move the holes by that measurment ( wich tomorow I will check ) The new holes should match up!! what do you corvette people think ?? I am wishing that tomorow I will be on the road becouse all I got left is the support beam and we see what those 3.54 have to offer ;)

Thank you

Yup one inch....draw a line thru center line of both bolt holes on the tranny end-then measure back one inch from each hole centered on that line and drill.
