All of a sudden none of my hatch release switches release the switch. Whats the deal and how should I test it? This is weird. All worked fine 2 days ago, now not at all? HELP...
TIA  :(
Get a meter and check for power. I am sure that you will find a bad connection somewhere if the fuse is still good. Also be sure to wilggle the fuse. Sometimes there is a bad connection there.
Sometimes when I try to open the hatch on my 91, there is just a click and the hatch does not open. There is an emergency release cable under the cargo cover a little to the passenger side. After I get it open, it works ok again. I'm not sure if all years have this cable.
It's inside the car at the back of the cargo area. With the cargo shade rolled up, you can reach in under the rolled up shade. It's close to the center of the cargo area. I think mine is a little right of the center.
By the way, it's a little hard to pull on so I keep a Leatherman's tool, which has pliers, in my car.
I also think the procedure is described in the owner's manual.
looking at it closer the servo is getting a signal but not enough to open i guess. Im not sure i like the pry method so maybe ill look for the release handle. any idea what the real problem is or how to fix?
