Default C4 seat question

I just picked up a set of standard 84-88 C4 seats to put in my 69. The seats are grey and I want to change the color to black. Are there any tutorials out there on how to disassemble the seats and put new material on them? Who makes the best replacement seat material? The foam on the seats are in good condition, I just want to replace the material on them. I was thinking on going with this and getting the non-perforated option:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1984-1988-Co...9S7vpw&vxp=mtr

Has anybody on here re-covered their C4 seats? How hard was it to do? How do I take the seats apart to do the re-covering job? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Look at my seat post you can get real black leather for less some got them for under $200.
There is a youtube video for the older ones like yours.

I looked through several pages of your posts and haven't found it yet. How about saving me the trouble of searching through all your posts and just post up a link to the thread?

I did a google search and came across this, its a bunch of videos from Corvette America on how to install new seat foam and seat covers on many different Corvette seats:

http://www.corvetteamerica.com/video...portScInstall/

After watching the videos I feel confident enough now to give restoring the seats a try but now I have a new dilemma, should I restore the original seats in my 69 or restore the standard 84-87 seats I have? I already have new seat foam for the 69 seats, it will cost me less money to buy the material for the 69 seats than to buy new foam AND material for the 84-87 seats. But I like the way the 84-87 seats look and feel compared to the 69 seats. The foam on the 84-87 seats seems to be ok but I know my luck, if I just get the seat cover material for the seats and dont get new foam the seat cover material will be loose and have wrinkles because of it. Damn, now I'm undecided as to which seats to restore because I now have to decide how much more debt I want to add to the credit card bill...

Only you can make that choice but you could do both since you have them then sell the one's not used and end up making money.

I know it costs more, but if the C4 seats look and feel better, I think that's your answer

I think the early C4 seats in a C3 would be a great mod.

Good luck
