Default Courtesy light switch

I have a 84
Anyone know the easiest way to access the
Wiring that conn cuts to the light switch on the Door Jamb??
Also I'm troubleshooting my courtesy lights,
The light on the door works if you push the lens but
Does not light when I open the door??
The lights under the dash do NOT work either ugh.
Thanks for any help

Do the interior lights turn on when you turn the headlight switch all-the-way? If so, then if likely yours is like mine, it's the interior light delay relay/timer that's burnt out. From what I understand one way to burn it out is leave the doors open for a long time. It's somewhere behind the breadbox in the dash.
I have to get to mine one of these days and replace the relay or wire around it.

The delay timer can fail at any time, I have replaced my 85 delay timer twice in the 20 years I have had the car.
Remove your delay timer and note the numbers, you can replace the board easily.

See link to new delay timers.
