I own a 1989 Z51 with manual transmission. When I bought the car this connector on my master cylinder was there, it was unplugged. I just found the connector to it. I think my brake pedal is firmer and higher. I went into the FSM and could not find it on the master cylinder. I would just like to know its name.
That switch closes when the pressure in the front brake system is different from the pressure of the rear brake system. When it's different it will turn on the BRAKE warning light on the DIC (Driver Information Center) in the center cluster. It's usually called the brake balance switch.
