Default Header install on LT1....war stories?

I'm considering headers for my CORSA cat-backed '93. Shorties just don't seem to help the HP very well, so I'm considering long tubes...either the DRM or LPE variety (pay for quality = get quality).

How tough are these to install on a '93? I've experienced header installs (on various cars) where sometimes they just work their way right in with no problems, and others where EVERYTHING had to be done (i.e. starter removed, engine/tranny mounts loosened and motor jacked up 3-4 inches, etc.).

I would still retain cats, but put them aft of the header collectors and before the CORSA resonator. Suggestions here would also be welcome.

Thanks! :seeya

Get the hooker 2151's. MUCH cheaper than the big names, best header you can buy for the money. In any header the quality is in the coating. Talk to the guys at Speed Demon Motorsports

As for installation, these are the easiest headers to install on any vehicle I've ever seen.

It'll take some slight modification to your cat back but nothing major. The cat back will actually bolt to the headers instead of having that slip fit crap that some companies try to pass off.
