Tried to install front suspension lowering kit yesterday, but troubled by lack of access to spring bolts. For those of you have done this install, how did you get the bolts out, and then reinstalled? Haynes Sevice manual is light on details/specifics. :mad
remove the tire use the floor jack to unload the spring tension... and remove the bolts. that should provide you with enough clearence to access the spring bolts.
you might also be able to reach the bolts from the top. they are down low in the frame rails near the uprights. you should be able to find them.
My main question is how to get the bolts back in once I've reinstalled the spring. The rear bolt is accessed through a hole in the frame as you mentioned, but it's a small hole, and I can barely reach the top of the bolt with my fingers. I'm afraid that once I get the bolts out, I wont be able to get them back in (unless I have to take off all the engine accessories??).
I hate dropping bolts working on the vette...a pain in the butt to find them sometimes.. :nonod:
