Clutch
I have just been informed that my 1989 Z51 needs a flywheel, clutch, throw out bearing, pressure plate and slave cylinder. Any suggestions on the ones I should buy.
The car is a daily driver. Once maybe twice a year it may seem some performance driving. It is a bone stock L98 may get some horsepower but not more than 300, eventually.
So with that information can someone please help me.

I always liked LUK clutches for value. Ive had trans shops say they are great clutches but they can't buy cheap mail-order when they need them for customers as they need parts same day. I used to order LUK clutches through Northern Auto Parts (on line) but it pays to shop around.

I think the stock OEM used LUK dual mass flywheel, Valeo disc and pressure plate, INA throwout bearing. I don't think any of the originals are still being made. (Valeo still makes disc and pressure plates, but they are now Chinese versions). I don't think anyone is making a dual mass flywheel.

He knows a lot about our flywheels, clutches, throwout bearings, slave cylinders, etc. I think he bought out the last of the OEM stuff (probably gone by now) and is one of the few that can refinish and rebalance a dual mass flywheel. I think he also rebuilds the slave cylinders.
He is very helpful and likes to talk about cars and his products. He can probably get what you need or steer you to something that will work.
I got to meet Jim at his place last year when I was doing my clutch and flywheel. I had a SPEC single mass flywheel (the heavy one) and SPEC clutch. My car chattered really really bad and had a vibration at 3k rpm and up. It turns out the vibration was my flywheel was about 20 oz off of the correct balance but I am not sure what caused the chatter, I suspect a bad clutch pressure plate or an installation error damaged it.

There is an sc05s for sale, with any flywheel I would get it matched balanced.
