85 maf question
I have a 85 twice in the last month after a long drive,100-150 miles, it started running bad and sets a maf code. both times air temp was in 90's car running 200-220. would be running good then it would run bad could put in natural and restart a few times would run good again for a while. when it done that last month I was 50 miles away from home it quit about 8-10 times but it got me home. yesterday we drove to Gatlinburg tn ran good there. coming home we made a few stops started running bad. quit at least 12 times in 70 miles. got about 50 miles from home got in a rain storm air temp went down about 10 degrees car ran 180 ran good the rest of the way home. anybody ever run across this problem before? put in a o2 sensor last month along with a new comp. trying to get advance to replace maf but bout of stock.

Which code did it set?
You're lucky (NOT) because your car has a MAF module (the only year that has one). If you're electronically inclined you might be able to replace the relay, which is what causes most of the problems. Otherwise you'll have to find a used one. NOS (New Old Stock)? Not likely, but possible.
