Are you getting self aligning or non-self aligning rockers? If you get non's, I would most definitely get some heat treated pushrods and guideplates. About $50 total.
When you replace rockers it's always a goos idea to change the puchrods too....... they don't add much to the parts bill you already have and like Bob Vila says......."ya might as well"........ :yesnod: :seeya
Is it easy to install pushrods once you have the rocker off?
I never did any work on my heads, so this is a new experience to me..
I'll be replacing my rockers too this or next week look sliek so migh taswell do them at the same time..
You can see the lifter through the head where the push rod has to go. When you do reinstall be sure to put some assembly lube on both ends of the rod to help lube on startup. The stuff is only about 4 bucks at most parts stores. Or just grab some Vasaline and use it. {Go Ahead and flame me for that one guys} :)
You pull em out and drop new ones in. Just like putting crayons back in the box. :)
But Scorp, I could never get all of them to fit back into that box right, especially the 64 crayon box. This is complicated stuff!
I can see it now the new 64 valve V-8, powered by Crayola.
