Default Low RPM Stutter...Lessons learned

The low rpm stutter I had posted about over the last few days was not the OptiSpark, but was a bad fuel pump. The fuel pump went bad because of water in the gas. AND the water in the gas came from (here's the lesson learned part) accumulated water around the gas cap as a result of a clogged drain hole in the recessed area below the gas cap. So. the lesson learned...make sure you occasionally clean the stinking drain hole out!!!

Just thought I would pass this on so it does not happen to anyone else.

PS. caught a wave from a C5 today

I'd noticed some rust inside my gas cap and thought "how odd". I found out why when I last washed the car and opened the gas filler hatch. The well was full of water. Cleaned out drain and will check regularly in future. :seeya
