I figured that was going to happen. That's because I didn't have any "gunk" at all in mine. It was a brand new block...and everything.
It's reasonable to assume temps are different in the heads, block, waterpump, etc.... It's also reasonable to assume the change in intake gasket configuration had an effect. Maybe the heads, but I'm leaning toward the bigger rear cooling ports on our gaskets.
It's probably good I did all this anyway. Going to a car show/ drag racing event in October. Gonna see what my car can do. Gotta make sure it runs cool.
