My builder is recommending this cam for my Forged engine 220`/230` at .050" with .520" lift on 114`LSA

You need a OEM roller block for that cam and it needs to be the second design for that stepped nose cam. IIRC the first OEM roller blocks (1986?) did not use a stepped nose cam and used a different cam retainer.

All the on-screen line cam catalogs for blower cams are terrible for help. I think you are left with email or phoning the cam company's for their dedicated blower cam selection. Maybe see what your supercharger manufacturer recommends for a cam. I believe cam choice w/a supercharger is much more critical than a N/A motor.

This cam is for a supercharged LT-1. It helped put out 595 rwhp in my '93 toy. Cam only, nothing else.

For stock cubes I would like a little more in duration and those are low lift numbers but maybe for stock spring?

Are the heads modified to accept additional lift? If these are factory L-98 (128 or 113) heads, they will need to have the seal are machined to accept much more lift than the cam that you proposed.


Make sure in advance, otherwise the repairs will be costly.
