I went to O Reilly to have my '94 scanned - to see if there were any codes it - just got the car last month - hooked it up and it couldn't "connect" - tried several times - they said I needed to see if the fuse is blown - went home to pull the manual and can't find it in the manual - help please.

You have to see what brand of scanner they are using and check with the company as to whether it can or cannot read your car.

Ya. I have a code scanner. I bought a USB to ALDL connector for my computer. Am trying to figure out what is the easiest to use and doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

If it is a code reader, it should be cheap. I'd get a scanner that can read live data or forgot it and borrow from someone who has one.

To scan for trouble codes the scanner has to have a jumper from the ALDL A and B terminals. To read real time data you need to have a resister in the interface cable to I believe terminal. www.aldlcable.com
