My 90 corvette has an abs light on in the dash getting code 61, pump motor or pump relay fault.I cant here the pump do function test and there it power and ground and all connections have been checked and cleaned. I have replaced the relays with a new ones and cleared code but the abs light returns. It would seem that the pump has failed. When first starting the car everything is normal and all lights seem to work as they should, come on go/stay off until I move the car then the abs light comes on. If I am on the highway and put the car in neutral, shut key off then restart, while car is in motion, the light doesn’t come back on, as if its normal, it will light up and all but go out as if there’s no issue, until I restart it again from a stop. What’s is going on, is it not detecting a test function or ??. has anyone else experienced this. Just a thought ,if the brakes have not been bleed properly would that stop the abs pump from going in to function test mode. As the previous owner said he had the pump motor replaced.

To test the Pump motor.
Remove the Pump motor relay from its socket.
Look at the relay which should have the pin out diagram showing the relay pin out numbers.
With the relay removed take a piece of wire and at the relay socket connect pin 87 which is 12 volts from a fusible link and is hot at all times to pin 30.
This applies 12 volts direct to the Pump motor and the motor should run.
No need to turn on the ignition to run this test.
If the motor does not run you need to verify there is 12 volts on pin 87.
If no 12 volts that would indicate the fusible link is blown.
If there is 12 volts and the motor does not run, either the motor is bad or has a bad ground.
