Looks sweet. Cant wait till I get mine. Bought a set from another forum member and hopefully they will be here next week. Can you take pics of your install process? Would surely help me out a lot when I install mine. :smash:
You won't be able to put the roof on once you install those sun visors.
I guess the HP gain comes from them being ported. Air flows through them, less wind resistance?

Thats right :yesnod: In the instructions it states to cut out the canvas/ragtop in the area the would restrict its' install. Air flows right throught those puppies. Unlike the stock ones
Re: Ported Sun Visors finally arrived (Rick Williams)
Here is my tips, based on my experience with them. Trial fit the Y pipe onto the Headers first before installing. See how tight the fit is, and figure out how to remove some of the coating or steel so the fit. Second, put one of those stock bolts through each the holes. I bought new bolts actually. I also had to drill out those holes. Again the coating closes up the holes and it wouyld be a bear trying to figure that out while on car. Third, Look at the number 7 pipe carefully (last one, drivers side). See if that bolt goes straight in before installin header on car. You will see a slight dimple (indentation at 10:00 on tube). You may have to as I did, increase the dimple to get that bolt to start to thread into the soft alum head (DONT cross thread). To increase dimple, place 3/4 socket on its side and bang with hammer. Believe me the coating doesnt break, if you do it right. The back Alternator bracket to Header was a problem area for me too. I left it off. Good luck...

Chris,
Great idea witht the socket. I did run into some tightness when roughing in the drivers side bolts. I ended up backing everything out and rethreading them. I will rough in the passenger side tomorrow and see how the "y" fits
