Will these cylinder heads do well?
I'm in the processs of rebuilding an engine for my C3. My current engine is non-original, which is why the engine I'm building is an 87' model.
The engine that is being built is 14093638. I was told this engine is from a truck. The heads are 14102193. BTW, does anyone know the stock hp of this engine?
Are these heads the "Vortec" heads? Will they do well with a little cam, 9.5:1 compression, Q-Jet, headers, and the block bored .030. I'm looking to make about 300hp.
Or, am I just wasting my time with "truck" heads?:confused:

That is the same block in my '87 Corvette. If it was out of a truck, it probably is the 4-bolt main version. At least it is a nice rollercam block! :D
