Bell housing bolts
I see 3 bolts and one nut looking from the rear forward(from the tranny twards the motor). Are these the ones that I'm looking for?
Do I need to remove the Y pipe to access them?
So far I got back 4 wires on the driver side bottom bell housing stud, the other five are bolts. One on top toward the pass., one clip at the second to the bottom on the pass and one clip to the bottom of the pass. side. Have I miss anything? I like to know everythings are in where it suppose to be before I put the car on the ground

Can you accually see the bolts, or do you have to feel for them? Is it better to look from the rear where you are holding the ratchet, or somewhere inbetween?
Don't tell me that you raised you car and all just to take a picture for me! Ha Ha

Do you think if I moved or removed the exaust pipes that it would be any easier? I'm going to replace the Y pipe anyway, so why not now? It shouldn't take that long any how?
Do you mean raise the tranny?
How do you lower it?
THANKS so much! :flag :flag :flag

As for dropping the tranny, one way to do it, is to drop the exhaust, then disconnect the drive shaft from the tranny. Now get your engine on the engine lift, and put a jack under the back of the tranny. Now, loosen the 2 engine mount bolts, and ease up the engine, until you can slide them out. Now, pull out the jack supporting the tranny, and using the engine leveler on your lift, tilt the rear of the engine down, until you have easy access to those bell housing bolts. Once you have easy access, support the tranny, undo the bolts, and the engine should come right out.
I find it is easier to just get those bolts out without dropping the tranny, but the call is yours. Oh, and when you do take all the tranny bolts out, MAKE SURE you have something supporting the tranny. (even if you arent dropping it).
