Ok the msd instructions clearly show how to use a box with the large cap efi HEI. But I've already switched to an aftermarket Accel control module from another tpi car I had.
Would you switch back to the stock module or leave the Accel in?
No, do I need msd debates plz, it's a S/S car n I wanna add nitrous sooner or later.

If the accel part is a direct replacement for the GM part I would think the pins have the same function.
A very minor consequence and suspect more advert noise than fact. Dwell happens before the spark not after. BTW longer the dwell the lower the rpm available.

If the MSD box is a CD (correct me if that's a wrong assumption) then it's academic which module you use (although I would have infinitely more confidence in the long term durability of the DELCO module versus an aftermarket module).
I'm running a MSD 6AL digital box with a large cap HEI distributor. I have always run an ACCEL control module, before and after the MSD box. I have no problems.
I once had a friend who use to test for spark on his old mustang by just holding a screwdriver in the plug wire and feeling it. Then when another friend had a trans am with HEI we tried to tell him not too, but he insisted. That screwdriver ended up in my wall next to another friends face.

Try that with a modern DIS system and you might as well tazer yourself.
