I'll be glad to help you out with the wiring diagrams, but first, I need to know if your '89 has the electronic control unit for the HVAC system, or if it has the manual control system that requires movement of levers. Two completely different wiring schematics.

If you're not sure which system you have, consult the option codes on the inside of the glove box cover. Option C68 is the electronic control, and C60 is the manual control. Hope this helps.

Roger. I've attached a PDF file with the wiring schematics and trouble-shooting steps from the FSM. Let me know if you need additional info/schematics. (Sorry about the blurry images at the binding. The FSM is really almost too thick to scan properly.)
