??? - smog pump date code
85 corvette - I can only see one "stamped" numeric code on my original pump itself. it looks to be 213051, although it could be 213851 - (very hard to read). if it's 213 85 1 - the 213 might be the Julian date (august 1st), 85 - obviously 1985, and the "1" could be a shift thing - just guessing here. I just picked a NOS OEM delco pump, and the (date - ???) number is 26031 (5 digits vs my original is 6 digits). the box has a GM stockroom bin, pull, tag with a date of 3/28/2000, so i'm guessing it might be a 1993 part, but again, just guessing. any insight?

I will have to look more closely at my original. either I have too many digits, or i'm misreading it.

...the 7801149 pump used a Julian date code in the format of 06042 where 060 is the day of the year (60th), with year (4) and shift (2). So this is a March 1st, 1974.
