Ok, on my 88 coupe, automatic, basically stock motor, I tore off my plenum, changed to FMS #24 injectors, AFPR and ported the plenum. My buddy and i put it all back together, and while doing so he/we broke the cold start injector wires. I figured no big deal, its warm and i wont need that injector. So i taped them off seperately and went on my way
Anyway, after i got it back together it ran, but the idle was super fast. So i backed the fuel pressure way down, cleaned the IAC, checked for vac' leaks and put her back together. Ahh ha! i can now get the idle down to where it belongs. Now i have this problem. Whenever i drive it for awhile, the idle speed goes way up. Its only when its hot, and if i leave the car over night it will idle normal in the morning. I thought at first something may have cleared itself out, so i reset the idle from the 1300 it was at to around 7-800. The next morning it wouldnt idle at all. So i had to turn it back up before i left for work...
I have two thoughts on this, either the IAC is still messed up, or the cold start injector is to blame. Any thoughts on this?
