Engine Almost Together!!!
AFR 190 LT Heads
LT4 HOT cam
1.6 RR
Extreme Duty Timing Set
Hooker Shorties 1 3/4"
New Style Opti w/ 95 timing cover

Let me tell you this was no easy bolt on.
* I had to match the top of the cylinder head intake ports to the LT1 intake.
* I had to shave both ends of the valve cover hold down studs. (Hole too shallow in heads and stud too long to seal against valve cover)
* I had to bend the header flange to fit using a sissor jack. The quality of these shortie headers are the worst I have seen. Even the collector bolts were too short to reach, I had to use head bolts for collector bolts. I had to grind the A/C bracket support bars. I had to shave the shoulders off the bolts to work with the headers. This took major work.
After this pain of a project is finished my total mods from air intake to exhaust will be (in order of path)
Open Air Lid
K&N Filter
30 Lbs/hr Injectors
Tuner Cat programming
AFR 190 Heads
LT4 Hotcam/ 1.6 RR
Hooker Headers 1 3/4" :mad
Dr. Gas X-pipe 2 1/2"
Borla Cat-Back
All I can say is I hope I am happy with the finished product.

Just a trick. Pull the RR off. Take a black magic marker. Paint the tip. Put the RR on and set it to were you think it should be. Press down as hard as you can, and wiggle the RR back and forth. pull the RR off and you should see a line scribed in on the stem. Try to do this at each of the 3 points to identify were the RR past is. Mind you the other two spots are tough with hyd. lifters. You almost need to get a solid one, the hyd. lifter will collaspe under the spring tension.
Its some extra work, but it will definately make a difference in the performace of your engine.
