Got any pics of the brackets? I want to get a set of the Forza/Forza II seats for my car. I want to run the electrical seat stuff for tilt and all that (arent as fancy as the A4 but accomidate the harnesses better it seems).
Otherwise, how thick of metal did you use? Easy bracket to make?
Thanks, and looks NICE... How comfy are they in comparison to stock?
Matt
I forgot to take pic as I was going. I'll let you tomorrow how thick the metal is. The size I used is 16"x3" for the front and 15.5"x3:" for the rear (could be a little smaller) After the metal was cut. I drilled the holes.
The seat them self hold you better then the stock. YOu get triped up my one of the bolster getting out of the car. But far better then stock.
I read somewhere that the A4s were reallynarrow, for smaller guys in other words. Not meaning to get personal or anything, but will a 5'9", 185 lbs guy fit? Are they more narrow than stock?
Have you sat in '94 - '96 seats ... How do these compare to later C4 seats?
I would like to see pictures of the brackets you made if you get a chance. Thanks.
I'm 5'8" and 185lbs. I fit fine. Nice and snug. Getting out of the car is fun...
Havn't sat in 94-96 seats yet.
When I take apart the seats to improve my braket I'll post pic of them.
It looks sweet! I have the exact same seats in one of my 80s and I really like them. I too am 185 and 5'8 and they fit really tight and hold you firm. A big guy may get uncomfortable in them. They also take a little getting use to as far as the entry and exit strategy goes. The plus is that you have to help the women in and out of them. It makes for some interesting views when they wear short skirts.

I'll be taking apart my seats with in a month or so. To redesign my brackets slightly (Thicker Metal). There are no problems with them now. But I can see extra metal sticking out. Beside it gives me an excuse to buy a drill press and something to cut metal. I’ll make sure you get some pics.
On a side note and for research:
1. I've noticed that the seats sit higher with the power seat unit. I have about 2" before my heads hits the top.
2. It’s an adventure getting out of these seats.
3. These seats hold you very well while taking corners (You don't move)
4. When sittings in the seats make sure your pockets are empty. (Wallet, Keys, etc...)
5. Its a little difficult getting to power window switches but doable. Forget accessing the center console while driving.
6. Very big improvement then what I had. Glad I made the move.
Corbeau A4 are $320 each. The Corbeau brackets are $65 each.
Under normal driving they seem to be fine. This is only the second day driving the Vette to work. (25 Miles oneway). And they are very snug fitting.
You can check them out. I'll be at the Mustang Ranch. 1st one on the Dyno.
I can have my roommate try to fit in my car he is 6'1" 225lbs but according to the website The A4 is designed to fit up to a 32-34" waist. (Extra tight in kidney and hip area) I need to go on diet.... I'll weight them when I redo my brackets.
