Pros:
-quicker shifts are easier on friction surfaces
-firmer & quicker shifts are more fun
-quicker shifts produce lower ETs
Cons:
-harder shifts put an additional stress on subsequent drive train components
-harder shifts may not be acceptable to some passengers
good shift kit==TransGo
I recently had a TransGo shift kit installed and have experienced most of the pros and none of the cons. That combined with a little more stall on the TC have made the Vette drive like a different vehicle, more fun.
