OK. temp, turn everything but the motor off and check IAC counts. Target is 20-30. Higher than that means the ECM needs more air and is commanding the IAC to open more. That means you turn the adjustment screw in to open the butterflies. Rev and recheck. Here is the important part. If it is too low, it means it is getting more air than needed so turn the screw out. IF the screw goes as far out as it can or the butterflies are closed, you have an air leak. After which you can check the TPS with the scanner. The target counts gives the IAC enough room to command more air if it needs to raise the idle or AC or whatever reason.
When my 10 yo shocks had an issue, Bilstein said to send it back. 2 hrs later, I told them that the other shock looked good but how to check. They said they don't know how to check without seeing it. Send it all back and they will thoroughly test the "good" one and replace the bad one. 2 hrs after Fedex dropped it off, they made a label for 2 shocks. In all honesty, I don't believe they checked anything. Just dumped them in the can and gave me 2 brand new shocks.
total hijack but r u saying bilstein has a 10 ye no questions asked warranty?

No, they are lifetime if you buy the aftermarket shocks. They even warrantied a shock that leaked after 2 years. Problem was that it had crankcase vent blowing on it and the oil fumes must have deteriorated the seals. Didn't really seem to care. Just replace. I have a 99 E300 with 480K and about 430K on the shocks. 10 to 1 they will just give me new ones in a box.
