I changed brake lines and installed new pads on my 91 Coupe yesterday :smash: and when I pulled the calipers they were full of melted and burned rubber :mad
I autocross the car and I'm sure the heat from braking did the rubber piston seals in. Is there sucha thing as hi-temp seals for stock C4 brakes
I ordered the standard kit, had to put things back together since I had it on stands halfway out the garage, and test drove it without the rubber seals.
All seemed fine, am I doing damage without the seals installed?
Thanks 92TB :blueangel: I've driven it without the seals for a couple of days now waiting for the kit to come in with no probs. :chevy
I'll put the stock stuff in this weekend and see what happens after the NCCC event in Rocky Mount, NC at the end of the month. 14 events over two days ought to tell the tale! :smash:
