The only one you want or need is the Helms Service Manual. http://www.helminc.com is the website I think. You can find them on ebay and a couple other sources as well.
I got the Helm's, it is definately the BEST. But since I don't have a whole lot of automotive experience, I also bought the Chilton and Haynes because they both have pictures and simplified procedures for some things. One major difference is that the Helm's is specific to your year only which is what you want most of the time. The other 2 cover the range of 84-96 (I think those are the years), like I said this is okay for simple stuff but for serious stuff you gotta get the Helm's manual. :yesnod:
Hey everyone! This is my first post at the forums.... I have a 1988 vette and I got both the Chevy manual and the Hayes. Between the two of them, I can get just about anything done!!! I found that some things in the Chevy manual aren't covered in great detail and Hayes has been a great help for this (especially as far as diagrams and photos go). Heck, the Hayes manual is less than $20 at any auto parts store so it's worth picking up even if you only use it to level your dining room table!
Well, I'm glad your first post was to my question. Welcome  I think you will find it most imfomative here. These guys (and gals) have helped me out several times already.
I have the factory and the chilton and between the three books there is nothing you can't find... chilton is good for tricks to save on tools but the factory usually goes into detail better. Again my opinion..
