3.07's are generally the best gear to have for the L98's... anything higher and you'll get going quicker from a light, but the motor will be out of it's power range too quickly. For a daily driver I'd leave the 3.07's in there.
Keep the 3.07's. Put in either a Yank Stealth 2600, B&M Holeshot 2400, Vigilante 2600, or the GMPP 2100 (Factory for 85 corvette's). All 3 of those are lock-up style, so your gas mileage will stay the same. I have the Y.S. 2600 with 3.07 gears...let me take you for a ride. :D you'll want the same converter. :crazy:
