Default H service codes vs. C codes

I've put almost 500 miles on my new to me '92. My SERVICE ENGINE SOON lit up while driving the other day and there was no change in performance or any of the gauges. I just pulled the code and I have H32. I understand this is a history code and not a current code so I'm thinking this car had an egr problem that was resolved but the code wasn't reset after the repair. Does this sound reasonable?

The SES light stayed on for about 10 miles at hiway speed the first time, stayed on for a few mins the second time (again hiway speed), and yesterday it came on for maybe a min or two and went out.

I have reset the code and verified it's no longer there. I should just drive the car normally and see if it reappears, right? Seems to me if it still had a egr issue there would be a C or current code.

Thoughts?

It does mean history and not sure if it will record multiple times with a new listing for the same code. Possibly solenoid or vac hoses for egr valve

Well, I drove the car on a 300 mile trip this weekend. The "service engine soon" light came on again for about 10 minutes then stayed off the rest of the weekend.

I'll check/replace the egr valve and look at the vacuum hoses.
